Hello Everyone,
Yes, it has been awhile since I posted anything. I did drop off the planet for a spell. I have been taking care of my husband, Bryan, who had a big heart surgery in June. This was the second surgery in which June of 2022 was the first. I am happy to say he is doing better than ever. We had some close calls and this sent me into an inner funk. I have PTSD after almost losing him and I found it hard to work. I also found it hard to write my blog. Which is why you haven’t heard from me. Things are getting better. I find that I have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. I hope you too have joy and blessings with loved ones to surround you this holiday season.
I also was doing some fixing up of my home after 17 years with the same decor. That said, I am starting to get back into my routine of working and producing art. So far I have been doing some drawings and I will share those with you.
I have a big show in May at the Sierra Arts Foundation. I will be showing with Roger Kinnaman who is a Pastel Artist. I have not scheduled anything else for 2024 as my husband, Bryan, and I have decided to travel to some of the places on our bucket list.
This past September my daughter, Emma, and went to Paris and Colmar, France. It was a wonderful time. Of course I got so many photos to quilt. I don’t know how I will find the time. But I believe I will have to do a quilt show with all the pieces I do of my travels.
After climbing the Eiffel Tower and a nice dinner, Emma and I found a nice place to watch the Tower light up.
I also wanted to share a book in which I was published. It is called Stitched Journeys with Birds by Martha Sielman. It is available on Amazon.
I hope that you find joy, blessings, and loved ones around you this holiday season.
Blessings and Joy for the Season,
Holly Gardner
Lovely post. I love the hummingbirds! And I had the best time in France with you!
Hi Emma, I love hummingbirds too. We certainly did have a great time in France. Love you.
Holly: Glad that Bryan is doing better after a dramatic time. I know getting back to a livable routine is important. It took my wife a long time to recover after I was in my bicycle accident that kept me in the hospital for a few months.
Your blog is so so so nice to read and I’m looking forward to your new art.
Carl. Thank you so much for your kind words. Believe it or not I think of you and Anne a lot. I think of Wisdom looking after you two. My wishes foyou both to have a happy holiday season. Keep stitching!
